Asperger's disorder is the term for a specific type of pervasive
developmental disorder which is characterized by problems in development of
social skills and behavior, according to the American Academy of Child & Adolescent
Psychiatry. Asperger's is considered to be a form of Autisim and there is no
known cure. However there is hope, as it is being diagnosed quicker and there
are both social training and pharmacological treatments that have had some
successes.
As parents we have struggled to understand this disorder and
hope to collect resources to share with other parents. This is a personal website
so check back from time to time as we are always looking for information.
Eventually
